The deportation order is based on Vedam’s conviction for murder—a crime he did not actually commit and for which he’s now been wholly exonerated. He entered the US at 9 months old and was a legal permanent resident before his conviction. We are so, so, so far from the light of justice.

IF THIS IS NOT HOSTAGE TAKING, WHAT IS? Israel refuses to release Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya who insisted on staying with his patients in his bombed hospital even after his own son was murdered. Since then he has been held in one of Israel's torture facilities.

During the interview, Kuenssberg incorrectly referred to the Scottish Parliamentary elections taking place in 2017 and 2022 – but the Holyrood votes were in 2016 and 2021.
