This is in context of a family member who watches too much Fox News trying to engage me tonight on how terrible Mamdami allegedly is.

We like to visit NYC but outside of that I just don’t see how it affects us in Georgia. But Fox has to keep its viewers riled up about something….
I don't give two shits about who is mayor of Birmingham, Alabama, why in gods name do people from all different parts of the U.S. care about the mayor of NYC? We've had terrible mayors all throughout history and nobody gave a shit then.

We are truly living through a probably of national immiseration and national humiliation and I think the ramifications of that will be profound and long lasting. I don't think a nation so accustomed to stability and prosperity will respond mildly

We’re clearly not going to see any productive negotiations on the shutdown at least until NJ/VA elections, so that’s another 9 days. Really curious to see what the national vibes are after that once it’s clear Dems have electoral momentum just as the GOP did after November 2021.
Its a false premise. Dressing up as a demon is not infinitely worse than dressing up as a Nazi.
Easy one: People don’t have pictures of relatives who were murdered by demons.
MAGA is a death cult confirmed.

Trump is 100% going to try to rig 2026 and 2028 and democrats need to get their heads out of their asses and act accordingly.

In court Donald Trump never put forth a single shred of credible evidence that the 2020 election was stolen from him
The seeds are being planted to rig the midterms. It’s becoming more explicit.

(Also note the gratuitous shot at the NBA, aka Black athletes who oppose him)

Redistricting could help GOP “net +6-9 seats” in Congress.

But if 2026 reverts to a ‘normal’ midterm, “that will be like lipstick on political pig.”

The guy is the literal definition of the word "corruption" and he's only at -17%. This country is f*cked.
Trump is underwater on everything. And massively so on a lot things:

Is this Gray Ladyspeak for, “The President of the United States is Losing His Marbles”?
News Analysis: Nine months into his term, President Trump’s approach to allies, adversaries and competitors around the world has proved a strange mix of successes and increasingly frequent and erratic eruptions.
Trump, Long Erratic on the World Stage, Reaches a New Level
Whether because of his increasingly mercurial approach or despite it, President Trump has won some foreign policy victories in his second term. The question now is whether he can build on his record.

so it's not Massachusetts or California he thinks is well governed. it's Florida.

(where i live, but not for very much longer. its climate and physical geography are wonderful, but it is careening towards social catastrophe, and its misgovernment has destroyed the human thing i most loved here.)
