Sword/Shield hands you Pokeballs before the tutorial, so if you capture something, the game notices and lets you move on with some extra pokeballs without doing the whole song and dance. I think that’s an elegant way to handle the knowledge check.

Content is a bad word. It's a cold, capitalist and corporately unfeeling way to refer to art in all its forms. Using it in a sentence makes it sound like you're making slop. It's (usually) not. It's art. Not just drawings and music. Youtube videos, game expansions... It's art. Not "content".

What about a heist movie where there is one crew doing things Oceans 11 style, overly complicated and stylish, and their opponents just does it Louvre style, stupidly simple but efficient. That would be hilarious.

Most annoyed I felt with ZA, I HEARD THE SHINY NOISE and it must’ve been a Fletchling or something that ran away, because I didn’t see which Pokemon it was and I know it stays loaded if you reload via fast travel etc, but it vanished… I’m… So… Meh honestly.

We know now this is utter nonsense but this is indicative of the massive problem that exists in regards to Pokémon, and Nintendo in general.

Even then, that’s downplaying it. For the new combat system to work, I bet they had to redesign every single move from scratch and animate them for that purpose. That’s A LOT of work. WAY easier said than done.

It probably would’ve needed some more reworking and balancing, especially considering how all the moves where overhauled, but I deeply missed Abilities being a thing in Legends ZA. Pokemon feel less individualistic without them.

I’m still going to go as far with 100% completion as I feel like, but right now, I feel inspired. Funnily enough, Legends ZA hit on a lot of similar things to what I want to do with my comic. I’m gonna be sure to not take TOO much inspiration, but it sure showed me how to handle certain elements.

I truly loved this game. It’s writing felt surprisingly mature for the series. Not that kids can’t play it, but I felt that more recent previous games have had this juvenile softness to the dialogue, scenes and characters that made me disconnect. Not this time though.

I’m afraid Legends ZA left a Lumiose shaped hole in my heart now that I’m done with the main story and moving to the post game, as I realize all these amazing characters are now going to be frozen in NPC stasis until the next game they appear in or something… *sigh*

Okay, the finale of Legends ZA might be the best finale a Pokemon game has ever had, at least not since Black & White. Turns out y’gotta either drop the Pokemon League or make the League itself into the climax of the whole darn plot to make a Pokemon story good.

No longer are you the invincible time god of the Pokemon universe! (at least this one time)

Woah, wait, WHAT?! You can actually lose the… Uh… «A-Rank battle» and the story will progress?! That’s so cool! I’ve legitimately wanted that for ages!

That’s it. I’m resting on benches for a months worth of time. I’ll leave er scrounging for scraps of that «patience» of hers.

I'm just unreasonably happy to see that section from the new MHA episode finally animated. I don't care what the internet says. MHA's final arc is one of its best, and there's still more to come.
