Just read that in 1985, Reagan threatened to rescind Johnson’s affirmative action EO. He didn’t, in part bc it seems companies pushed back, saying they’d advance its goals anyway.

Trump did rescind it, to no opposition at all.

Now look at Reagan’s 60/40 win map—a true mandate. Yet corps resisted.
