It's good financially. It's good morally. It's just good to feed people.

“SNAP benefits are one of the fastest, most effective forms of economic stimulus because they get money into the economy quickly during a recession.”

dear US friends, when a sitting president (re)builds the seat of government, it almost always means the president has no intention of leaving at the end of term. your African friends with decades of experience
A reminder
"Thirteen people were shot dead on Bloody Sunday in January 1972 at a civil rights demonstration in the Bogside area of Derry.

A public inquiry, which concluded in 2010, found that none of the people who were killed posed any threat to the army."

The media treated Biden's poll numbers, which were better than Trump's, as a major storyline that merited constant coverage and analysis.
Enten: "Trump is doing absolutely awful in the minds of the American people. We're talking about new lows. CNBC, -13 net approval on the economy. It's -19 among Quinnipiac ... He's not just beating himself with record lows -- this is the lowest for any president ever."

Merkley: "What we've seen is that democracies no longer die bc men w/guns go in and take it over. Instead, it's electeds who erode the separation of power. If you have a rubber-stamp Congress & courts that deliver more power to the executive, suddenly you have an authoritarian state. It's here now."

The crime of the century is happening before our very eyes:

“Were Trump to direct his DOJ to open the doors of the U.S. Treasury for him, the precedent set would open up new frontiers in corruption—even for an administration that is already the acknowledged all-time leader in the field.”
The biggest most brazen heist of the week did not take place at the Louvre. It happened in the ruins of the White House. And if successful, it promises much bigger hauls to come in the future...all out of your pocket. My latest. www.thedailybeast.com/trumps-dayli...

Why is Apple, Microsoft, Lockheed Martin, Blackstone, Google, OpenAI, Amazon and others financing the destruction of the WH and desecration of the grounds, something that is infuriating to huge chunk of the American population? Do you hate your customers that much?

people seriously underplay the strength of elected leaders, influential people and the like just saying a thing.

just... like... say a thing and repeat it. its the core of politics and communications. you say a thing and say it over and over and it becomes the story. it works.

Trump has now murdered 34 people in international waters.

No one has any idea if any were criminals, and of course it doesn't matter, because it was a war crime to kill even a single one of them.

Drug trafficking is a felony, but it's not a violent crime and isn't punishable by summary execution.

To be crystal clear: trump is talking about taxpayers paying him millions of dollars as some sort of restitution because he was investigated for sending a mob to the US capitol on Jan 6th to overthrow the 2020 election. That might just be he most f*cked up thing he’s done since Jan 6th…
Trump: "It's awfully strange to make a decision where I'm paying myself. But I was damaged very greatly and any money I would get I would give to charity."

ICE is stockpiling arms, including chemical weapons, guided missile warheads and explosive components. The spending dwarfs anything we've ever seen in the agency - a 700% increase.

So we’re now paying federal taxes so Donald Trump can withdraw them from the Treasury like it’s his own personal bank account? Really?

The White House is asking people not to share pictures of the East Wing because it’s even worse today.
A good reminder that we will not always see a path through the storm, but we also have our noses, our paws, our friends, and with tentative steps together we might still find our way.
