I picked up Mimi Pond's "Do Admit: the Mitford Sisters and Me" today, and it is SO GOOD.

One of my core beliefs is that the good life includes having a comic book store within walking or biking distance. Let's hear it for the Phantom of the Attic on Craig St!

A new report of crime data shows that ICE impersonation cases have reached record highs in 2025—more than the number of such cases in the last 4 Presidential admins COMBINED.

Democratic Governors need to order their State police to arrest alleged ICE fascists who conceal their identities. Period.

U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson calls Sunday's naked bike ride in protest of the Portland ICE facility and and Trump troop deployment "the most threatening thing I’ve seen yet"

Trump sent federal mercenaries into Portland in 2020 to put down BLM protests, and Portland did NOT back down. They also were not conventional.

Remember the Wall of Moms? And then the Dads with leaf-blowers, blowing the tear gas back towards the creeps?
A tweet from July 21st, 2020, that says PDX DADS, ASSEMBLE! Come stand up for your town, your neighbors, your kids. Look for the other orange shirts, use the buddy system. And remember, safety first.
It has an image of a leaf blower, and says to mask up.

You are aware that when all major news organizations refuse to sign the Hegseth censorship agreement, universities refuse to sign the academic freedom restriction agreement, airports refuse to play the Noem video, MTG starts speaking out about the Epstein files, something is happening—right?

I was proud to join state & local leaders at the ribbon-cutting of PIT's new terminal.

This project will connect us, employ us, and strengthen Pittsburgh as a leader in innovation & industry. I'm grateful to the workers who made this happen and continue to keep our airport up and running.
Congresswoman Summer Lee stands at a podium and speaks at the ribbon-cutting of PIT's new terminal. She is wearing a brown blazer and is smiling at a crowd. Congresswoman Summer Lee poses with state and local leaders at PIT's new terminal. The ribbon is yellow and says PIT. Congresswoman Summer Lee claps alongside state and local leaders at PIT's new terminal. The yellow ribbon has just been cut and the group is smiling.

If you support affordable housing and believe that inclusion should be mandatory, not voluntary, show up tomorrow morning to oppose Councilperson Strassburger's IZ amendment. It's nothing more than another attempt to let developers have their way at the cost of existing residents

OMIGOD, YES!

When I took a bite of an Impossible burger, I nearly spit it out. <shudder> I'll never knowingly order one. It's bad, because a "veggie burger" is often the only option on the menu.

I've been a vegetarian for 30 years. My taste buds have _changed_.

I joined the Pittsburgh Overpass Project (POP) on the Greenfield Bridge yesterday. If was fun meeting the other folks!

Here in PA it is critical to turn your ballot over and vote YES to retain the judges that are protecting our rights! Every judge on the ballot is a Democrat -- Yes for all of them.
The smaller sign faced the traffic crossing the bridge: PROTECT FREE SPEECH RESIST CENSORSHIP It's a very tall bridge, so we had the sign with _big_ letters facing the rush hour traffic below: VOTE YES TO RETAIN OUR JUDGES Woman in a wheelchair wearing a grey hoodie holding an American flag.

Endorsement alert! Thank you,
@stonewallpgh.bsky.social for your support and trust!

I am deeply honored to receive this endorsement. For years now I have seen the tireless work that the organization does to promote equality for the LGBTQ+ Community. I am proud to stand alongside them.

According to a new study
by Yale researchers
Covid-19 continues
to be driving a large number
of work absences,
which is an important reminder
that it is not the case
that people are “quiet quitting,”
rather it’s the case
that this virus just won’t quit.

I frequently say you don't need to protest. You don't! There are a thousand other ways to push back on fascism if protesting doesn't feel comfortable or safe for you!

But if you CAN go, this 10/18 #NoKings thing is really a key protest to participate in. Be part of it, friends.

NO KINGS, y'all! October 18! Find a rally near you and GO!

As if these groups weren’t trading and traveling. What an idiot.

Gee, do you suppose waves of pandemics from multiple diseases may have been more of a factor that “lack of curiosity”?
