Right i basically want there to be some middle ground i could just have with out immediately upgrading to full rooftop solar, and ideally i could get it when i upgraded the panel

the issue with those is that during outages they can be sending power unless something is done before the grid hookup

Kind of but theres a lot of ways people try to manufacture for this. Like europe just has ones you can plug directly into outlets presumably because they have one outlet per circuit and the inverter is with the panel
