For sure, the world is filled with poisonous judgmental snobs who make character judgments based on their belief that their preferences carry some special weight. But sometimes the person leaving me in the dust is not a snob, I'm just not ready to ball at their level. Just a personal observation.

I have a good friend who once asked me if he was a snob. I think he just has good taste and is extremely well read and not interested in engaging with people who are 7 or 8 steps behind him on certain subjects. It's a fine line and I try not to be resentful when the problem is that I'm not there yet
