how much harder can I vote for this man???
Virulent anti-Mamdani push poll combines questions about his actual positions (housing affordability, millionaire tax) with Islamophobic questions implying that he supports "making halal mandatory in all city restaurants" and investigating "Israel's role in 9/11" (via @jccoltin.bsky.social)

Matt Kacsmaryk has gone woke.
JUST IN: Rep. Ronny Jackson's lawsuit against Gov. Gavin Newsom over California's redistricting effort was thrown out today by Judge Matt Kacsmaryk.

Jackson failed to show he faced a cognizable injury from CA's redistricting plan, Kacsmaryk says. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
People are attacking the source here and he should provide more supporting evidence, but the basic fact that Platner was waving a free palestine/Tibet/Kashmir etc flag at 14 and volunteered for the Marines is really all the proof you need that he's an untrustworthy weirdo

What family is being attacked in this awful metaphor exactly?
Mayor Eric Adams endorses Andrew Cuomo, whom he called “a liar and a snake.”

Now he says: “Brothers fight…But when families are attacked brothers come together.”

The family of Islamophobes they both belong to. This is outrageous rhetoric to deploy three days before voting begins.

Eric Adams, endorsing Cuomo: "New York can't be Europe, folks ... Those Islamic extremisms that are burning churches in Nigeria, that are destroying communities in Germany, that have taken over the logical thinkings. And that's what I'm fighting for."

I often hear my fly fishing buddies curse beavers for creating fish migration barriers, but they can also help these same fish by decanting suspended anorganics and filtering water.
Fun beaver/fish interaction: When I approached this pond, I startled brown trout preparing to spawn below it (beavs filter sediment & keep downstream substrate clean). The fish dashed to the dam & hid in its base. Beavers created perfect spawning grounds: pristine gravel adjacent to dense cover! 🤯🦫🐟
Invasive though, right? Or are they stocked there?

Transit agencies take so much heat for being “inefficient” while State DOTs have largely escaped scrutiny for continuously lighting money on fire.
US highway spending is a mess.

Yale prof @zliscow.bsky.social & colleagues found that South Carolina’s DOT spends $375,500 repaving a mile of highway – more than twice as much as North Carolina.

In @bloomberg.com, I spoke with Liscow about the wild inefficiencies of state DOTs.
American Roads Are Paved With Inefficiency
Why do US highway projects cost so much? A researcher finds some surprising sources of infrastructure inflation, and points to ways to make road work more affordable.

By the way if Platner was serious about his duty to the country and not just in it for the power, he'd have already stepped down. Republicans are gonna run "see they have Nazis too" ads in the general and he knows it and his team knows it but they don't care.
yep. Then when you get into office, slash border patrol/ICE funding, end car dealership requirements, crack down on scammers, throw Trump etc in prison- basically defund and destroy bases of opposition and depress their voters into giving up

Does anyone else remember how she tried to expel him as Speaker of the House and the DEMOCRATS provided the votes to save him unconditionally?
Mike Johnson responds to Marjorie Taylor Greene admitting Republicans are hurting people with their healthcare policies (or lack thereof): "Bless her heart. That's an absurd statement."

Assuming for the sake of argument that there is room for a senate candidate with a compelling explanation for his Nazi tattoo, including contrition and personal growth, there definitely isn’t room for this guy, who is obviously lying about it

There isn’t any reason the big tent conversation needs to be conflated with the “who gets to lead things/run for senate conversation.” Plenty of space for people who wanna cover up Nazi tats, just maybe not a Senate seat. No Senate for people with Nazi tats isn’t some rule the left made up yesterday
Not Jews, Zionists. and "party leader bases all decisions on the will of constituents who are fanatically loyal to a foreign state that is also directly supporting the political opposition" is not a great defense

Wonder who paid for these courtside seats
Someone who believes that the US government doesn't exist to serve Israel i.e. not 98% of Congress
funny but this seems to be a fake outlet

I assume people aren't questioning it because no one knows what local news looks like in New England, but the Palantir story in the screenshots I posted doesn't have any kind of source and apears to be totally made up bull shit.
Fascinating platform story happening around the Graham Platner stuff. The number one source for almost all of the discourse about Platner on X right now is from an account that only had 70 followers at the start of the week, isn't a real Maine news outlet of any kind, and was created in August.
