What a privilege it is to be alive when Beyoncé is creating daring, culturally, historically, musically, disruptively, and epically conceptual art. 🐐

Btw, funny tidbit about these awards wins is that after Beyoncé won, the Grammys retired the categories and moved the goalposts. 🐝 😉

“From the 1950s to the 1970s, federal contractors building the system deliberately mapped routes that rammed through and dismantled Black neighborhoods — payback, some say, for gains made during the Civil Rights Movement.”
Why Do Highways Run Through Black Neighborhoods?
The documentary “Interstate” exposes how highway routes are by design.

Just imagine if your white friends weren’t secretly racist and hated women in general.

AYE. IF YOUR STATE/COUNTY IS HOLDING ELECTIONS, GO VOTE. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND GO VOTE.

YOUR LOCAL ELECTIONS AFFECT YOU JUST AS MUCH, IF NOT MORE, THAN THE NATIONAL ONES.

WE ALL HAVE A LOT TO SAY, SO MAKE YOUR POINT HEARD AT THE POLLS.
That happened to me when I first started working in the city. Gotta get used to be around so many people and taking the subway. You’ll adjust lol

Gen X and Boomers were mean af when Millennials entered the workforce.

We came in ambitious and educated but somehow we were the problem. “How dare you want balance? How dare you not stay at the same job for 20 years just to get a pen and a cake?”
I feel like millennials get called corny a lot, but younger generations don’t know that old heads were very mean & haters & excluded us out of jealousy/intimidation.

We’re probably far too accommodating & inclusive, hence the state of our country now 🤦🏾‍♀️

This AWS outage has revealed to me that more platforms run on Amazon products than I thought, and it should be a cautionary tale of just how fast shit can be taken from you when you allow corporations to be this big with little competition.

I love when Judge Judy tells someone that they were nasty 😭
But her relationship and opinion of gay cousin never wavered. We still don’t get it.

Meanwhile she loves me down 🤷🏽‍♂️
My cousin was like this with her daughter. The mother grew up with our very gay, very out, very flamboyant from a young age cousin and they were best friends until his death. While he was still living her daughter came out lesbian & suddenly she went biblical and didn’t approve.

When you hear “The Charade” you can feel Curtis Mayfield moving through him in a politically soulful, soft, yet powerful delivery

His sexuality and sensuality? That was Marvin and Prince Rogers Nelson through those veins
