I've not been in this situation, but I think I would say something along the lines of "oh god, I'm sorry, please don't set me on fire"
I saw this performed live with the movie at the Barbican a million years ago
It's in Australia, I think someone said? I'd be surprised to see it in the UK because they're strict even about the open letterform a appearing in sans serif fonts (which is why schools often use comic sans)

"You already have passports..."

The passport system our govt used to deport British people to countries they'd never visited because of the colour of their skin?

It's our govt ppl object to, not ID as a concept
My business experience was:

The status quo can have hidden costs, change is even more costly, repetition of a more efficient system may make the cost of changing the status quo worthwhile over time, but it might not
Surely it's possible for them to sign and submit a resignation that only comes into effect the moment the event happens

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
I need it tomorrow

14 years ago I saw Julian Assange and Slavoj Žizek converse at the Troxy (www.frontlineclub.com/julian_assan...)

Tonight I saw John Grant play Touch And Go, a song about Chelsea Manning, at the Troxy

Nice bit of serendipity
John grant wearing shares holding microphone and keyboard guitar on stage flanked by musicians on both sides, pink lights on stage, crowd silhouette in front

My wife and I are off to see a special screening of the new Leonard and Hungry Paul TV series tonight. (Understatement alert) Looking forward to seeing how it turned out.

Ah, so you're after two Bacon rolls for £1.50 on a paper plate with Daddies Sauce
Stamp duty doesn't deter people from moving house. It makes people say "ahhhh shit" every time they remember it exists.

Reliefs and exemptions for first time buyers and vulnerable people can fix it without a tax cut to those that can afford it
