Yes about time and we need to reverse Brexit to address the GDP losses not just pretend to do it better!

Brexit has been destructive to our economy, and has cost us £140 BILLIONS already.

Families and businesses fear more tax hikes after the Tories' stealth tax and this Government’s unfair jobs tax. The Chancellor must rule out extending these stealth taxes. We need a real growth plan and the big banks, tech giants and gambling firms must be made to pay their fair share.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves admits tax rises and spending cuts considered for budget

Crazy criteria which demonstrates just how far Labour have distanced themselves from the real world. Business and public sector will suffer the consequences of this.

Do all MPs and members of the cabinet have an A-Level in English? I imagine not. (I don't - I studied engineering)

Labour Gov this is clearly discriminatory and an absurd policy.
davidrvetter.bsky.social
I will bet my bike that close to zero of the British racists that this law is pandering to could pass A-level English.

Rising costs and reduced donations since 2022 have led to a £47 million shortfall in the hospice sector.

Unless the government properly funds staff costs and reverses NICs increases for hospices, keeping them open will be nearly impossible.

This afternoon I presented my Hospices and Palliative Care Bill to Parliament.

The bill would place a duty on the Secretary of State to ensure the availability and adequacy of hospice services for all people at the end of life.

Everyone deserves dignity at the end of life.

Nigel Farage called Reform’s manifesto a contract with the British people. Now he’s torn that to shreds. It’s clear that they can’t be trusted with our economy.

The hospice sector is in crisis. Families are terrified for their loved ones, yet the government continues to look away.

Our new campaign demands urgent action to fix this broken system.

Reminds me of when the previous government, after much prodding by industry, put fishing deckhand workers on the Shortage Occupation List - then slapped them with English language requirements. You can be a skilled worker in much demand without those skills involving high-level written English!

An example of the government not having a project: only yesterday the government was trumpeting new measures to make it easier to build things. We'll work out who actually builds stuff later on.

Great to be out meeting people in Haywards Heath over the weekend, supporting our fantastic town council candidate, Caroline Ward.

I listened to residents’ views on transport, the town centre and other issues.

I was on LBC this morning talking about the current funding crisis in the hospice sector.

Beds are closing, staff are being let go, and people are not being allowed the dignified end-of-life care that they deserve.

The government must do better to end this postcode lottery.

Last year I met Itzik Horn, whose two sons were being held captive by Hamas. Yair was released earlier this year and today I am overjoyed that Eitan is also going home.

I cannot imagine the trauma their family has suffered, and I pray they can now start to heal and move forward.

Eight Reform UK councils have indicated that they will raise council tax next year after struggling to find huge cuts in public spending.

That’s despite Reform UK flyers during the Local Elections criticising councils for doing just that.

Never trust a Reformer.

Three big Lib Dem wins in this week's by-elections.

Last night in Mel Stride's Devon constituency, Liberal Democrats GAINED a seat from the Conservatives - the Conservatives dropped to just 10% of the vote.

And two great wins by our teams in Bath and Hampshire.
