The freakout in NYC isn’t about Mamdani’s race, but his critics’ perception of his politics (and to some extent his religion).

As the seemingly endless NYC mayoral campaign enters its final weeks, the howls of the Democratic establishment in the city are only getting louder.
They've really convinced themselves that the election of a (gasp) Democratic Socialist will mean the absolute destruction of the city. Cops will quit! Billionaires will flee! Dogs and cats, living together!
I've been trying to place where l've heard this same rhetoric before, and it finally hit me this weekend - this is exactly what southern whites said when the first wave of African American
mayors took power.

I agree with the OP here. This idea of shining lasers at helicopters is not only stupid and dangerous, it's so obvious a false flag. Trump and Miller are DESPERATE for somebody to do this so they can invade that city and impose martial law.

Merits aside, it is insanely easy to be caught if you do this and the punishment for doing this is much more severe than you’d guess.

Sigh. As you know, I've been making my own seitan, starting with the recipe on the back of the Bob's Red Mill Gluten Flour bag, but I've made many changes, including adding baking powder to make the seitan fluffier.

Better write it down, I think. Today I forgot to add the BP in one batch.

Broglio opposed the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell policy from 1993 to 2011 that regulated service by LGBT personnel in the US military. In 2013, Broglio opposed the Pentagon granting the same benefits to same-sex married couples as to other married couples.[10] He also supported the Trump administration's ban on transgender individuals serving in the military.[5]

Thank you so much for this thread! I knew he was doing a good thing, but I knew nothing of the Monstrance or its significance to Roman Catholics. He's pointing out that you can't be a good Roman Catholic and support ICE/DHS/Trump. That's a powerful statement...
