I'd be curious to hear more about his interactions with other 3D artists as I noticed the scene wasn't leaping to his defence quite as quickly or feverently as you might expect "the little guy" in thisi setup

Ghamak isn't using as many of the magical trademark words, but plenty of the minis are still pretty obvious GW equivalent designs.

Whether that's enough to be a legal problem (or if it should be) is another question but no gamer looks at the Ghamak tanks and wonders what its "supposed" to be

Certainly the act of mail ordering conversion bits by post 15 years ago and then applying them to your GW mini core is a different kettle of fish than potentially printing a whole squad of STLs that can be transferred digitally. (Even if printing requires expensive startup costs)

Ghamak is far from the only person making transparent GW proxy models so v. interested in how this goes.

Aside - Italy, where Ghamak is based, has a weird track record historically with copyright regulations being laxly enforced. Might that also affect the decision to argue on a different topic?

I think it's very interesting to suggest the difference in GWs relative power and business solidity in the Chapter House and Ghamak eras.

As a 3D printer owner - who, yes, uses it for game pieces - its still not an everyday purchase for people but its definitely more affordable than 5 years ago.

I think Magneto works great as a villain who you half sympathise with but is still a villain - someone clearly traumatised anad taking it out the wrong way.

Shifting him to overtly heroic undoes the edge, the frisson which makes him so interesting - "maybe he's right? Shit, I hope not"

I feel so sorry for UKIP. The main parties have raised the bar so high for ultra racism and transphobia that they've literally had to adopt Nazi iconography as their logo just to compete.
