I love it a lot. For C&C I think there could be more contrast in light and dark. If you greyscale it you see everything is the same brightness so maybe a much darker metallic, or a few tones darker on the scales would help separate out different elements.

That's so cool. I was actually looking for something exactly like this. I'm going to be painting some of those wolf riding gits for AoS spearhead and wanted bright colours that looked real somehow. This is exactly how I imagined it.
