BART is already the most efficient rail agency in the nation at providing service. It is unreasonable to squeeze even more cost savings than BART already has.

BART riders deserve more service, not less!

Metrics from FTA's National Transit Database with BART as the most efficient rail service in the nation at $9 mile of service

Take transit.

It’s safer, better for the environment and it will support our ability to fund service and make improvements.
Google Maps image showing a longer drive time (one hour and 14 minutes) from Walnut Creek to downtown SF compared to taking BART (39 minutes).

anyway, not to don my tinfoil hat over here, but it feels like a conspiracy. i don’t think this is a radical idea: people should be able to choose how plugged in we want to be.
instead we all gotta live with hypnotism machines in our pocket. i hate it. i hate it and im throwing my iphone in a lake.

i bet some really cool mixed use stuff could pop up along the 48's route if it was able to
geolikestrains.bsky.social
that is true, unfortunately none of it is commercially zoned and most of this map is based on my experience trying to go to a neighborhood and exploring, checking out shops and the food etc. which sadly the only stuff in potrero hill really doesn't cater to anyone in my income bracket
