I'm here to look at beautiful wargaming model paintjobs, follow up on sci-fantasy fiction discourse, and engage with TTRPG enthustiasts. I will block with no remorse any nutjob, especially the right-wing or TERF kind, or any annoying person at all.

another demonstration of how censoring "adult" content is actually about censoring speech they don't like
#NoKings event in Fairhope, Al.
A woman was arrested for "lewd conduct" because she was dressed in penis suit with a sign that said "No dick-tator"
3 cops on a 53 yo woman.

“I will abolish ICE.”
“I will codify abortion rights.”
“I will divest from and sanction Israel.”
“I will tax the rich.”
“I will protect trans lives, Black lives, marginalized lives.”
“I will salt the ground in which fascist republicans and fascist-sympathizing democrats grew.”

See? Those work.
critical to remember that this energy doesn’t just automatically become Dem electoral enthusiasm. you still have to win people over. give them something to vote for more than just “I won’t be a king”

this actually happened
and another thing: he’s not mad. please don’t put it in the newspaper that he got mad.
I've actually seen an uptick in uselessly snappish people actually raring for a misunderstanding, and a row. This is actually a good sign, even if it ends into some avoidable stress and an unfollow.

One sentence horror stories for wargamers.
A skirmish gamer buckles at the knees, weeping in agony, as they realise, to their horror, they must paint more than 5 guys.

Ding ding. Lots of protest advice out there, but this is near the top of the list for everybody. No face, no thumbprint, nothing. Passcode only and do not provide it under any circumstances.
Reminder to disable biometrics on your phone before attending any protests. If police ask for the passcode, you do not have to provide it.

if you're going to a protest today I wish you luck. The only specific thing I will beg of you is this: don't use milk to wash out tear gas or mace. if you see a street medic with milk, yell at them until they throw it out. do not continue to spread lies about emergency medicine.

Portland: if a streamer from out of state gets arrested or detained, perhaps wait to see if he gets more than a citation before donating $100,000+ to his "legal defense". that money is vastly in excess of what he might possibly need and could have gone to helping people in serious legal jeopardy
yeah, sorry if I bloviated about the finer points, but I can never stop myself from marveling at the twisted tangle of rules put in place there.
Well, technically they are not allowed to marry (they promise they won't), so they can fuck, it's just sinful like for any other Catholic since it's outside of marriage. This is also the loophole needed to bring in married Orthodox and Anglican priests, should they change sides.

Hey everyone! Quick question: are these margins good? is Negative 220% good? If it helps the thing in question cost $50,000 and you need hundreds or thousands of them.

Also the thing with negative 100% gross margins costs $1.9m, is that good?

"What if, in the process of trying to ban AI products that quite actually encourage children to kill themselves, we wind up banning chatbots that help children cheat on their homework, diminish their propensity for critical thought, and lead to the development of other forms of AI psychosis?"
CA governor Gavin Newsom vetoed both of the major AI bills on his desk that Silicon Valley meaningfully opposed—one making it illegal for bosses to use AI to fire workers with no oversight, one requiring chatbot sellers to ensure their products do not harm children before marketing to them.
Silicon Valley's capture of our political institutions is all but complete
The tech lobby kills off two key California AI bills, and why it matters. Plus: How Sam Altman played Hollywood with Sora 2, organized mass social media deletions, and more.

Members of the Unpresidented Brass Band were bull rushed & brutalized in the middle of playing "Ghostbusters." One was sent to the hospital and another tackled, arrested, and taken across state lines where she is still being detained.

Yes, this social network for some reason makes people humorless, snappy and really aggressive about bullshit. Just like old Twitter.

Next time somebody asks me what Bluesky is like, I'll send them this
They are not exactly the type to acknowledge a meaning if that does not serve their little obsession. Complexity is bad for them. Their inner world is made possible by stark simplicity, like never really playing the game, or painting; most of them latched on the fluff, and decided it was about them.
