Be the change you wish to see in the world. Mom, musician, family historian, cook, gardener, perpetual learner of French. The middle of the ocean is my happy place. One of my sons asked me to play SOT w/him on his birthday & I’ve been hooked ever since.

Post an artist (any media, visual, performing, etc.) that best represents Halloween to you.

For me it’s got to be Edward Gorey.

It's Just A Perfect Day, 10/30/2025.

60"x72" acrylic painting.

I've almost reached the cabin. It's a crisp fall day, so I'll get a fire going in the stove and make some lunch. This isolated, serene place is perfect for gathering my thoughts and making art.

FRANCIS BACON’s “Study after Velázquez's Portrait of Pope Innocent X” (1953) - terrified me for years.

Years later I found myself stood in front of it at the Tate Modern.
My reaction: I started laughing.
No idea why.

Incredible Artist.

Bacon was born 116yrs ago today.
