Donald Trump and Peter Hegseth have now murdered 57 human beings on their boats in the Caribbean and the Pacific.

That means they've passed Seattle's "Green River Killer" (49) to become the most lethal serial killers in American history

This is ugly. But the reason this lady was protesting is even worse. ICE thugs detained two children and their father on their way to school. One child appears to have been beaten in detention, and no one seems to know where the 12-year-old girl is right now. The family had been seeking asylum.

New incredible detail here: ICE says a match in its facial recognition app Mobile Fortify is a "definitive" determination of a person's status, and that this overrides birth certificates. This is an app ICE is using in the field to scan people

Could ICE have ‘lost' 3,000 immigrant arrestees in Chicago?

NBC Chicago's investigative team reports at least 3,000 jailed immigrants have vanished from federal records, according to human rights attorneys and organizations.

Which of their products have let you down?

I've found their mice and keyboards to be reliable, even the cheap ones, but I don't think I'd buy much else from Logitech.

The Logitech headset my old employer gave me at the start of the pandemic was truly awful.
I'll match your donation to my local pantry. Thank you for reminding me to give to feed my neighbors.

man it’s really disheartening to see how many people are unable to adjust their opinions in the face of new information. it’s ok to admit that you were a supporter of someone until you found out they were secretly the type of person that gets a Nazi tattoo.

Blue States need to create a (H)old (E)veryone (A)ccountable (T)askforce (HEAT). When ICE arrives and breaks the law, HEAT squads from that blue state arrive, arrest and jail the ICE agents. HEAT gives the message “Not Here!“ If Trump can bend the rules, so can state governors!
Assault with a deadly weapon, destruction of property, child endangerment.

ICE is committing violent crimes that every potential juror understands. Where is the DA who will charge them and bring them to justice?

Food stamps remind me of vaccines, we basically eliminated hunger like we eliminated measles, both incredible human accomplishments the GOP is determined to reverse.

Look, I’ve been incredibly outspoken against the very real problems the gerontocratic Dem power structure has made for itself, including its submission to corporate interests, but if you keep a fucking Nazi tattoo on your fucking body for LONGER THAN A LITERAL DECADE that’s a *you* problem.

A mother of 8 was deported within 24 hours of reporting sexual harassment by an ICE contracto

She was following the rules & going through the process to get her green card

Someone working on behalf of ICE abused her.

She spoke out and was kicked out of the country.

It’s retaliation & it’s wrong

This is good, but when people talk about this I want to emphasize: we have not run out of money for SNAP. The money is there, it has been allotted and saved specifically for this instance. Trump refuses to release the billions of dollars that Americans have already allotted to continue food stamps!
In the 60-year history of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, it’s never run out of money. Here are the states suing the federal government over it.

The whole point of the story is that despite being a group of people who aren't especially adventurous and mostly love good food, drink, and leaf and quiet lives at home, that they have a hidden strength and are especially resilient at resisting the evil of the ring!
I’m really starting to suspect that most of the tech bros haven’t actually read Tolkien, as they certainly don’t understand it.

The gentle hobbits save the “hard men” of Gondor, largely through compassion and selflessness. Not the other way around. The Christian parable is barely hidden!

Still remembering that time the NYPD were threatened with reforms so they initiated a work slowdown that resulted in less crime and then for some reason we didn’t learn from this?

Northeast provides way more money to federal government than we get back: if we call the Republican bluff and lower federal income taxes, we would have more than enough money to fund a Northeastern Collective to provide the type of social services we want for ourselves.

These 5 people could caucus with the Democrats, giving them a majority & firmly opposing the fascism, any time. It might be nice for an enterprising journalist to ask them why they keep not doing this every day as the crimes & corruption continue & John Thune refuses to fulfill his oath of office.

Imagine if NYT decided Trump as a big of threat to NY (has stolen $18 billion from NY as he prepares to escalate paramilitary to assault non-white people on street) as it has apparently decided Mamdani is to NY (he wants free busses, the horror!)
On the plus side, when everyone from the Trump administration gets thrown in jail, they'll have to pay through the nose to call anyone.

Just incredibly, unnecessarily cruel. And I’d be shocked if there wasn’t wanton corruption going on here, too.
It literally took decades of advocacy to pass these reforms, which would have prevented prison phone and teleconferencing companies from ripping off inmates and their families to the tune of hundreds of millions annually
