I would love to see more families choosing active transportation, especially since the school is literally at the intersection of 2 separated bike lane routes!

But the school now has a hockey program, so cue the "you can't carry a hockey bag on a bike" protestations.

A small positive thing about the teachers' strike/lockout is the effect on traffic on our street, alley & parking lot. A brief reprieve from parents driving SUVs ferrying kids to & from school, blocking our driveway, shortcutting through our lot, & being belligerent when asked politely to stop.

I left early for work this morning, in part to prep for a presentation, and in part because I bedazzled my bike and helmets yesterday with reflective stickers and wanted to ride in the dark. 😂

This, and also: Adoption & IVF are two very different paths to parenthood, and not everyone wants to, or is able to, or has any obligation to, experience both of them.

People sure do love giving unsolicited advice & opinions to folks experiencing infertility.

(Also a woman who went through IVF.)
