Frey knows he has no answer for any of his failings, that he can’t explain or justify the legitimate attacks against him.
So he and his supporters (and PACs) have taken a tactic of accusing his challengers of those things (no matter how baseless) to create confusion and neutralize it.

I endorse Omar Fateh because I've been impressed with the drive & energy he brings to the campaign &, more importantly, to fighting for & with working people as a public official. At this moment we need leaders aligned with regular folks not wealthy interests, and Sen. Fateh is that kind of leader.

This is something to send to anyone on the fence or in any way part of the “he isn’t that bad” camp. Fernando has clearly *had it*.

Today I write with a heavy heart because I have arrived at the conclusion that City of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey lacks the intrinsic leadership, effective due diligence, and moral resolve to pursue community safety for all Minneapolis residents - especially as it relates to domestic, intimate partner, and gun violence.
I arrive at this conclusion because on October
22, I had a deeply troubling and unproductive meeting with Mayor Frey and City of Minneapolis executive leaders. Later that evening, my worst fears were validated: City of Minneapolis Auditor reported that MPD has not cooperated and has delayed the long overdue After-Action reports for two murders last year.
