Per WSJ, the Trump regime and Bannon are bragging they’re “ruling Congress with an iron fist” and that it is “largely ceremonial” like the Russian Duma.

Shameful. Not what the founders intended. 🇺🇸 @MarshaBlackburn @RepTimBurchett @AndyOgles

There is no good faith discussion of the Insurrection Act.

Even if it can be justified on paper, Trump admin wouldn't revoke it when the armed forces can be used as a blunt instrument against all sorts of perceived enemies heading into a mid-term election.

He is unfit for the office and its power.

"You did not answer the question. Thank you for your time."

I didn't think George Stephanopolous had that gear, but good for him. That's how it should always be done.

STEPHANOPOULOS: I didn't insinuate anything. I asked you whether Tom Homan accepted $50k as was heard on an audio tape recorded by the FBI in September 2024. You did not answer the question. Thank you for your time.

VANCE: No, George, I sai--

STEPHANOPOULOS: We'll be right back

“Who was president in 2020?” remains one of the most pertinent questions in American politics—absurd, yes, but here we are—and that extends to “who was president January 1 - 19, 2021?”
joycewhitevance.bsky.social
That’s a nice trick, since Biden wasn’t the president on Jan 6.

Can we give a shoutout to whoever does the VP's make-up. Like damn, if your goal is to make him look like an AI generated mock-up of Slappy the Dummy?

If it is, good job. It it's not, you should just keep doing what you are doing.

Vance: "I have to give your network a little bit of grief Kristen, bc last night they were covering this & they mentioned that during a rally in Israel when Witkoff mentioned Netanyahu the crowd booed, but it didn't mention that when Witkoff mentioned Trump, the crowd actually cheered"

Columbus was a genocidal warlord and slaver who nearly got his own men killed before stumbling upon human societies that did not need discovering.

Never stepped foot in North America. Wasn't Italian.

He doesn't deserve a holiday.

Giuseppe Garibaldi on the other hand deserves one. And was Italian.

Tomorrow is Indigenous People's Day, I mean #ColumbusDay or something. In honor I'm rerunning this little pram I wrote back in 2021.

If you think its a coincidence that they are pushing BS autism causes while the DeptEd empties its special education division and ICE had an autistic child in dention without any of their family knowing, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

This is a purposeful attack on our most vulnerable.

Republicans are purposefully hurting service members and closing the government so nobody sees the Epstein files. What cowards.

Speaker Johnson just declared the House will remain in recess all next week. This will mark a full month off; the chamber has not been in session since September 19.

I mean, we probably won't be able to have this conversation until MAGA dies as a Republican philosophy but most super online antifascists don't actually know what fascism is so...that take is not a surprise. It's just sad.

I know Trump and his minions all have sneering contempt for kids with special needs, but trust me when I say that their parents will absolutely fucking destroy anyone who messes with the special education supports to which they are entitled by law.
sarapartridge.bsky.social
There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.

We should not have facilities to train the armed forces of countries who operate against our interests as a country and those of our allies.

Some good news: Most people don't trust Trump and RFK Jr.'s claims about autism.
Just four percent of respondents told a KFF poll they believed the claim was definitely true, while 30 percent said it was probably false and 35 percent said it was definitely false

Only 4% of Americans think Trump claims about Tylenol and autism ‘definitely true’
Americans are largely divided on partisan lines on whether they trust the Trump administration’s health claims on autism and vaccines

I was in an airport recently and the videos were months out of the date with Noem talking past deadline to get Real IDs.

So she rushed out a video, not to improve things or back the unpaid TSA, but to be a party hack posing as a civil servant.

Hope those 7 Dems who confirmed her feel the love.

The timeline for memorials says this wouldn't be completed this term on the best of sceduales.

So, Trump could start this only to leave office and watch his little arch be deconstruction by the Dem 2028 winner or better yet defunded in 2027 by a hostile Congress.
