The richest man on earth owns X.

The second richest man on earth is about to acquire TikTok and his family could soon own both Paramount and Warner Bros.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

See the problem here?
Well even if they don’t have immunity, they will all be pardoned on federal charges. State charges may be another matter.

The President has immunity.

Now Stephen Miller is telling ICE they have federal immunity while “fulfilling their duties”.

We have a dictator with a secret police force and both have immunity from prosecution.

This is fascism.

They can and will do whatever they want.

have reread the phrase “30-40+ inches of additional rain” several times now
Jamaica, in particular, will likely suffer catastrophic impacts from now rapidly-intensifying (but slow-moving) Hurricane #Melissa. A *Category 5* landfall now appears to be the most likely outcome, & 30-40+ inches of *additional* rain in mountains will lead to extreme flooding.
People in “blue” states (whatever that means) should get a discount on federal taxes if citizens are being systematically discriminated against by the Federal government on the basis of their presidential voting record in the last election. Seems like there’s a lawsuit there someplace?

Trump has, for example, proposed slashing funding for the National Cancer Institute by billions of dollars, shrinking its budget to levels unseen in decades. His conspiratorial and anti-science health secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., scrapped funding for mRNA researc.,

Private prison executives casually discussed the "3,000 arrests per day" quota in earnings calls—despite the Department of Justice previously denying any quota exists. This is fueling immigration raids nationwide while companies rake in record profits.
In Earnings Calls, Private Prison Executives Revel in Profiting Off ICE Arrests
“Our business is perfectly aligned with the demands of this moment,” CoreCivic CEO Damon Hininger said on the call.

No argument there! I do not disagree - give to your local food bank.
So “don’t buy anything over Thanksgiving” i can see, but not going to work over Thanksgiving makes no sense since it’s a long weekend. If lower sales is interpreted as “economy is bad” instead of being due to a protest, it would still reflect negatively on the administration.
I am not clear what is meant by the term general strike in US.
Is it buy nothing? Is it not going to work? People without unions easily lose their jobs if they don’t show up. Gig workers strike against themselves. Labor has few protections compared to Europe. More specifics would help organize.

These guys get $50k signing bonuses.

Stephen Miller is telling them they have immunity and encouraging them to create chaos.

They get almost no training, many couldn’t pass an open book exam & they’re allowed to hide their faces.

They’re swinging assault rifles around in public.

Abolish ICE

Reporters are obsessed with asking Trump “why did you do this” instead of factual questions like “what’s the name of the person you pardoned”
COLLINS: Today you pardoned the founded of Binance. Can you explain why you did that?

TRUMP: Which one was that?

COLLINS: The founder of Binance

TRUMP: I believe we're talking about the same person, because I do pardon a lot of people. I don't know. He was recommended by a lot of people.

We need to pass a law that says if Congress doesn't work for more than 15 days, not on the calendar at the beginning of session, will lose full pay and benefits. This is bullshit.

Which is why Mike Johnson will not allow congresswoman-elect @adelitaforcongress.bsky.social to be sworn in!
Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 81st day out of the last 93.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

Just for the record, in 2020:
- Wray was the FBI director Trump handpicked to replace Comey
- Jack Smith was in the Hague prosecuting Kosovo war crimes
- Garland was an appeals court judge
- Monaco was in private practice in LA

There was no Biden administration yet, crooked or otherwise.

He crazy.

Conveniently, right before the midterms!

This isn’t going to go the way they think it is.

The National Guard isn’t going to allow themselves to be used as Trump’s voter suppression force.
Hegseth doesn't dispute the existence of a memo planning for the establishment of a "National Guard response force that's gonna be trained in crowd control and civil unrest and deployed in all 50 states by April 2026."

The amount is meaningless — less than one day of salary. But the principle is important: once the armed services are paid by the oligarchs, they become a private militia, and we no longer have a country.
