The description of this pedal makes me want one, or a good modeled plugin version of it.

Silly Games was produced by Dennis Bovell and the dub version "Game Of Dubs" is on his album Sufferer Sounds, released by a Warp sublabel.

Today I looked up "Silly Games" by Janet Kay (the centerpiece of Steve McQueen's "Lovers Rock" move) on YT, and there's a live performance.

If we're even given that choice.

I just saw something about music on FB and misread "undeniable" as "undesirable"

Undesirable Music is my new genre. Maybe, based on the attention it gets, it already is my genre.

Can't speak for the LV editors, but the UI J-School to Little Village pipeline's been going on for decades.

PS LV would love pitches from J School profs!

The frogs shall come up on you and on your people and on all your officials."

There's a valid point here, but I was distracted by the "biggest cleavages" -- which I think used to be a magazine you could buy out of the "Adults Only" room at book stores.

I think one of the biggest cleavages in our society that no one talks about is the division between those that think powerful people must be held to a higher standard than non-powerful people and those who think powerful people should be flattered and sucked up to.

D'Angelo fulfilled the promise of Sly Stone, when Sly couldn't. He is deeply embedded in the context of black American music. Prince, Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes, Marvin Gaye, Erykah Badu, Al Green: there's a tradition of black musical auteurs like him, but none like him.

There's a lot of music - some that I love - that are utterly straightforward. When I try that I get bored. Some producers can stretch the same loop forever.

I've always loved improvisation, and want to use it more.

I was a music major in college for 2 years. But in working with synths & such it's all by feel. I know some scales on the piano and really, if you pick a scale and don't stray from it it sounds OK. Find dissonances, figure out how to play off scale and then resolve interestingly.
