Saw a video comparing the AI bubble to the Nifty 50 stock crash of 1973, and it feels like the closest parallel, certainly moreso than the dotcom bubble. In 1973 it turned out the top 50 stocks were overvalued by x10 and a combination of the oil crisis and the Nixon Shock made the market crash

I agree so much that I have 4 original pages from that run: a full page panel from Messiah Complex, where Jamie is taking on a Sentinel, and the 3 pages from the issue where he argues with Mayor Jameson that NYC should grant him a business license, as he's solving mysteries, not fighting Galactus.

The problem is that no one has known how to write a good Maverick for the past decade.

The late '90s maxi-series from Jorge Gonzales and Jim Cheung nailed the character and it's all been downhill since then.

We don't need any live-action MCU-integrated films any time soon.

Just let the '97 crew helm the video franchise and continue to deliver a ton of stories that would be too expensive to film with physical actors.

Or, just send a truckload of $$$ to Matthew Vaughn to reboot the franchise (again).

Side note: we’ve gotten used to it, but solar panels are kind of an insane technological advancement.

Virtually every other form of energy production, from coal to nuclear, is ultimately about turning a turbine to crank out energy.

But not solar. Solar just…sits there and makes energy. Like magic.
