"Largely Democrats"? I live in rural Indiana in a county that voted for him by 76%. Over 11% of the people in this county are on SNAP, and the poverty rate is 15%.
Almost all the people on assistance are proud trump supporters.

I was 22, almost 23, when I came out to my friends in 1991. I came out to my family in 1993.
I'm 57 years old now, although that doesn't seem possible most of the time.

I was 14/15 years old, making it 2000. Came out to my family and friends. Met my first boyfriend shortly after, and we dated off/on until I was 19. (I’m 39 years old now)

I've also noticed a tremendous increase in people sharing/reposting various requests for money. I'll try to help out a friend when I can, and perhaps I'm being a bit too cynical, but I wonder how many of these are truly legitimate.

I sympathize with you. I spent one Christmas season years ago working for Kmart (yes, I'm old lol), and immediately went back to the restaurant industry. Some of my best customers during the holidays were retail people.
