For example, Facebook scientists have published routinely in scientific journals yet never (to our knowledge) unambiguously disclosed harm from their platforms. Instead, they espouse benefits.

Science has faced these challenges before. However, many think manipulation happens through corruption of scientists. Instead, we highlighted a broader range of mechanisms:

-Burying Internal research
-Selectively publishing
-Design bias
-Selective funding and access.

Funny, I remain convinced that Danielle Smith, though her fighting with the rest of the whole damn country and consistently siding with a foreign power who has floated economic war with us, is an actual traitor.

Until earlier this year, the company said “It is our policy to notify TikTok users before disclosing their data to law enforcement.” Now, it would only give notice when legally required, and it no longer said it would tell you *before* handing over your data. 6/8

As U of C health law prof Lorian Hardcastle told me, the UCP could have fixed the alleged waste/logistical issue and no matter what it cost, it would still be more cost effective than treating a flood of unvaccinated or less than fully vaccinated patients in hospitals.

The UCP's rationale for limiting access to publicly funded vaccines was waste, especially at pharmacies. 700+ pharmacies in Alberta are now selling vaccines but they also administer vaccines for free to eligible people. What happened to the waste issue? How does the UCP explain this?

There’s tons of research out there for all elements of ransomware incidents - eg Mandiant, Sophos etc publish yearly IR reports from real incidents.

Generative AI and AI malware don’t feature on any of them.

Initial access barely uses phishing nowadays.

This is the same sort of energy as the continually misunderstood “deploy/don’t deploy on Friday” argument.

The point, to me, is that
1. You should be *able* to deploy
2. You automated it, so it’s low risk
3. You’re human about it and CHOOSE to not deploy on fridays, holidays, or before vacation
