..of mine and I acknowledge I am particularly sensitive to it. I do apologise to the author however, I recall being particularly annoyed at the time at the presentation of Act nonsense as a valid and rational viewpoint. I acknowledge the article can be perceived in more than one way.

However I do concede I was a bit harsh. The article does include ‘both sides’ at least and that’s far more than many do. I do believe it’s important for modern journalists to call out obvious hypocrisy and lies when they see it though and this doesn’t do that at all. This is a persistent bug bear…

Hi, I’m a long time (decades) media watcher. The problem I have with reporting like this is the absolute lack of context. This article is useful/good for political animals and the hypocrisy and stupidity of Seymour’s conference is obvious. To RNZ’s self identified audience this is not the case.

Aotearoa urgently needs a group representing people who’ve been harmed by online media, to counter the tiresome and disingenuous crap from the likes of the free speech union in media reports. A register of anonymized first person accounts of harm moderated/redacted to remove litigious words.

They absolutely do. Digital influence is one of their main capabilities. They run all kinds of information gathering, social media marketing and manipulation campaigns. People say we’re being attacked by Chinese and Russian bots but our media is determined to ignore the American and English ones.
