I think a lot of cult behaviours moved online from the 90s. More secular than religious but still based around grifters exploiting the vulnerable. You could argue that cults are bigger than ever now, and reach much further, and do more harm.

Why do we keep talking about trans healthcare?

Because of statistics like this.
Because every day waiting, in this world obsessed with harassing trans people, is a battle that many don't survive.
