Easily the worst USWNT game I’ve seen in person since… the last time I saw them play Portugal in person.

Not a good game plan, not good player selection or sub timing, no good adjustments. Literally no one had a good game. Burn it with fire and move on.

I do not know this to be true but in my heart I believe that US Soccer is playing with a yellow soccer ball (the ball typically reserved for snow games) tonight in honor of Alex Morgan’s first cap (in all the snow) on this the day of her retirement celebration.

The guy sitting next to me in the airport lounge has a very new iPad that he’s using as a laptop (keyboard, mouse, etc) and also a stack of spreadsheets printed out of paper. The universe contains multitudes.

People outside are PA are welcome to continue to believe that Delaware is fake, but if you’re looking for a trip, there’s a Residence Inn right on the boardwalk in Bethany Beach. It’s lowkey one of the best places to spend a few points for beachfront.

This weekend an NWSL team is honoring a beloved retired player, 2 years after her retirement and the first game honoring her.
Why? I don’t know but I do know that it’s happening on her ex-wife’s b-day.

Had to go to Philly for a few things this afternoon which means I got to see one of my favorite PA landmarks:
On 222S right after you get off the turnpike there’s a combo Sheetz/Denture & Braces store/Urgent Care…. And I think that’s beautiful.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

I’m not sure how it looked but it was a driving and cold rain for like the whole game. Just in the stands we were cold and had pruning fingers by half. I’m so glad no one got hurt. And will take the point.

I did AK when I did the Great River Road but that’s one I want to do again & go to the Ozarks. MN also the Great River Road but also time in MSP. Would recommend MSP and also the Mississippi headwaters. The bombing memorial in OKC is one of the most powerful places I’ve been.
Now I want a roadtrip!
