I’ve finally got round to seeing a clip of this and 1) LOL Max Muncy 2) yes that is the craziest double play I’ve ever seen 3) it’s hilarious that a fly ball that nearly went out winds up being recorded as *grounding* into a double play

…you have no idea how infuriating this was to read. Long way to go yet and the Brewers are very equipped to turn it around but between the Phillies clincher, this, and escaping loaded bases in the bottom of the 9th I’m just seeing the sort of demon luck that means they’re going to win it all.

I appreciate the Blue Jays for knocking out the hated Yankees but I think the clear optimal postseason outcome at this point is a Mariners v Brewers World Series, in which the teams would combine for zero championships

It’s had everything as well: multiple multi-run homers, an initial impression of it being a close fought game before it suddenly becomes a blowout, silly challenges, a counterproductive IBB, awful, awful umpiring.
