So you've got a Canadian "journalist" covering the trial of an Irish citizen, who lives in Spain and whose costs are being covered by a South African born migrant living in the United States.

Break out the flags lads....

Watching the Bibi & Don Show treat this like some grand victory, while people returning to northern Gaza dig the rubble for loved ones' remains, is pretty revolting.

Glad to see Nigel Farage has finally remembered Nathan Gill, former leader of Reform in Wales - found guilty of taking bribes from Russia.

Maybe he'll now remember how much he took from Putin's propaganda broadcaster Russia Today for all his TV appearances when he was a MEP?

I'm sorry to harp on, but how can Kemi Badenoch *possibly exist* in a party alongside a guy who complains about not seeing enough white faces. How is that possible?

Always thought that was an interesting implication, that Orcs had the concept of a ’menu.’ Like they usually ate out in restaurants, and chose their favourite hors d’oeuvres.

Every pundit who took at face value the idea that the Right sincerely cares about free speech, or ideological diversity, or in fact has any principles at all, should be wearing a dunce cap and writing a lengthy mea culpa right now. Not for our catharsis but for public awareness at least

‘we suggest that chief amongst the beliefs implicit in managerialism is the idea that management in itself is of greater importance than the primary activities that are being managed’ (Hussey/Smith (2010): The Trouble with Higher Education, p.20)

Celebrating our 22nd Wedding Anniversary (a couple of days late) tonight! @kitzingercelia.bsky.social
We got married in Canada in 2003 - 11 years before it was lawful in England & Wales. We lost our marriage equality case in the High Court in 2006 - but we're on the right side of history!
Cheers!

The real 'two tier' divide in British politics is between the wife of a Conservative councillor calling for refugees to be burnt alive, being treated as a brave 'political prisoner', and the protestors calling for the end of mass starvation and genocide, being treated as domestic terrorists

This is disgusting, and surely counterproductive. Starmer and co have totally lost the plot.
More awful Labour Party adverts on FB getting 1000s of frustrated and angry replies, mostly criticising how they pander to and use the language of Reform.

Journalists need to stop anthropomorphizing LLMs immediately. They don't say, want, believe, or think anything. They create output that is statistically likely based on petabytes of stolen training data.

Mark this for the history books: “We’re talking about the president exercising his authority, and the president is of course limited to his authority. That’s the difference between a constitutional government and King George,” said Judge Charles Breyer.

I’m one of those dodgy immigrants who came here on a spouse visa and got indefinite leave to remain after 12 months.

The incalculable harm I have done to the UK includes dedicating my life to public service, educating thousands of British young people, and paying more tax than I’ll ever get back.

This is Labour's core problem here. The right will never allow Starmer a win on immigration because the issue is central to their appeal and therey' daren't lose it. So whatever he does will never be enough.
