Like clockwork, these flowers planted in our neighborhood bloom every morning and are gone by mid-afternoon. I believe they are called yellow alders.

Dozer and I drop by to see them every day🌞

'There is a willow grows aslant a brook,
That shows his hoar leaves in the glassy stream;
There with fantastic garlands did she come
Of crow-flowers, nettles, daisies, and long purples'
~William Shakespeare

Planted 3 hydrangea, 4 David Austen roses, and a tonne of other cottagey garden stuff! Plus wisteria and hardenbergia.

Now we weed, water, and wait.

I haven't uploaded my art in a hot minute, like since this summer, in part because I haven't been doing a ton of painting. With no nice weather and no baseball, it's time to get back into practice. I call this set "Yeah, it looks better with ink outlines" #watercolor

Remember this plant I posted in the summer? It’s called Variegated heartleaf ice plant & is a succulent. I pulled some new shoots before they emptied out all the planters, put them in water & they rooted! Just planted. Now, to keep it alive all winter 🤞🏼

The altars invite spirits to return and mingle with the living. Usually three tiers high, the top displays saints and ancestors, the middle holds favorite treats, and the bottom features candles, water, and personal items to guide souls. (2/4)
