This one bugs me ngl. is there an actual tea leaf that is *literally* tea? yes. Do other cultures use tea to specifically refer to the camellia leaf? Yes. But the English language by and large refers to hot herbal beverages as teas. It won by popular vote. Fuck your tissane drinking ass.

Perfectly natural, I'd say. We sit in front of the fire, they practice their newly-learned skills*, while I sip a turnip tissane and tell them fascinating stories of my life as a horticulturalist and retail entrepreneur. 5 minutes later and they're off to bed.

Getting up and moving my body is sometimes helpful (absolutely recognize that sometimes we just cannot).
I.e. going to fill and plug in kettle to have a cup of tea.
Even if the tea or herbal tissane doesn't magically soothe anxiety, you now have something warm to hold in hands and feel steam

However - tea (as tea) doesn't have fun alternative spellings.... Though there are alternative words like infusion or tissane. But coffee now.. mad ways to spell the drink made from a bean (not a leaf)...

#teasky now transitioning to tissanes. I've got this lovely honeybush from Sibahle Teas. I wasn't a fan of honey bush for the longest time - too mild. However, I used a light tablespoon and brewed for 7.5 minutes, and it is lovely! #looseleaftea #herbaltea #tissane #whatsinmycup
