On a white work tables sits a large embroidery hoop set with a light cream fabric and a design sketched onto it, part of the design has been filled in with a light coloured thread. above it sits a bundle of embroidery threads in different colours along with some gold thread and another half finished embroidery hoop at the back of the photo. The table basks in the glow of the sunlight through a window causing a sharp contrast between light and shadow.

I'm thinking about the collar I made (second shot) because I'm about to make some similar versions IN ALL BLACK. So I edited it for this preview. The color contrast really worked in the original so I want to stare at this and see what might want to be different about a monochromatic version.

A decorative collar / neckpiece made of linen and cotton with scrappy frayed pieces that are varying shades of ochre, plus a deep magenta fabric flower on one side. Three tendrilly strings run from one side of the collar through a hole in the bottom of the flower, and dangle out, with matching magenta pods at their ends.
