aaaaaaaand it turns out the answer to "how TF did some guys with a ladder steal the French crown jewels" is "cuts to arts funding mean the Louvre is massively understaffed"
More observations in autumnal light and the reason I've not been posting much these days but my plan is to finish up this collection by the end of the month. Probably doesn't help I keep starting new pieces!

Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

Sleep is a biological necessity, and sleep deprivation has real physical, psychological, and social consequences that need to be taken seriously. The way our society treats it as slothful to sleep according to natural rhythms (including midday naps and variant chronotypes like night owls) is evil.

You just reminded me I have a can of pumpkin puree in the cupboard that needs using and so I might attempt a brown butter pumpkin cake I've seen on insta!

Whenever I see this photo I automatically hear First We Take Manhattan.

In addition to art, I sometimes make small batches of accessories and seasonal stock. There are some large totes available which good for carrying your projects around, they're lined to make them extra sturdy. I may have kept a lobster bag for myself! 🦞 🧶

Happy Columbo’s Day
I got annoyed at the internets, so I went outside and touched grass (caught up on some gardening) and finally put out the planters and divided the strawberry plants that had gone wild in the summer and this is what I got from six plants I bought from last year! Might open up a strawberry farm! 🍓🌱
Been on a bit of a horror flex lately with reading, I haven't decided on my next read yet but probably gonna stay on theme seeing as it's October! Highly recommend all of these but really liked Eartheater and The Starving Saints so also, two new to me authors to add to my faves. 📚
This collection is taking so long I've decided to release it phases! Also I've decided this dark gold thread works better than the bright gold and now have to very carefully unpick and restitch some of the other pieces. The two suns piece is currently my favourite.

We're just finishing callography and we're also going to do lino and screen printing. I also have a weekend course in contemporary painting and collage, so building up for my mixed media pieces I have planned.
Not much to report except I signed up to a print making class at Leith School of Art so I can add some printing to my textile pieces.
I discovered the band Death a few months ago and love there music, the doc is a little bittersweet but I'm glad they finally got their dues, inspiring and totally emosh.

Hello and back after a short hiatus for #lastfourwatched on #Letterboxd Friday.
The Good, The Bad and The Weird was so much fun.
Before There Was Punk, There was a Band Called Death is a must watch.
Fever to Tell felt a bit bratty but also happy 25 years to the YYY's
and AFV was comfort rewatch.
I love that she said that at the time she was a virgin that couldn't drive, which makes it an even funnier burn!
I would say yes and if that feature goes ahead, you can add that to your portfolio. I personally think it's good to have one, I set one up a few years ago because if anyone asks about your work or what you do, you can just send them there.
I gasped at that cat tree 😍
The new Deftones album is really good!
The last one is really cool.
