What do you do in this situation

To keep myself sane lately I've been plugging away on this and FINALLY finished it. I worked on it very sporadically but the first sketch is about 7 years old!

At some point I would like to maybe make it into a print but we'll see. #art

A springhare with raised paws looking like it's in a boxers stance. Springhare paws are actually harmless, usually the only way a springhare can hurt you is by first holding part of you in it's paws, and then using that hold to carefully bring their snout to the helf item to bite it. The Springhare paw grip is comically weak, has trouble gripping things like your hand, and you usually have a few seconds while it attempts (and fails) to hold you to just tug free before it can bite, rendering the springhare helpless.

The old squirrel is holding a small orb alongside his walking stick, that is a deep black in colour. the springhare says: "Same old Harry, eh? I thought you retired, isn't that meant to mellow you older folk?" Harry: "Haven' punched thee, George, so mellow enough." Harry looks at the lifeless orb. "Makes aren't watching. We're free to talk." George mutters "...Really need to get one of those things.." Panel 2: Harry tucks away the orb into a coat pocket as George speaks "So, got any news?" Harry retorts: "T'were bloodey quick off the mark t'ask. Starved for knowledge, eh? Yer, I got news, but first a question. Thee like having m'family blood on yer paws?" Panel 3: George holds up his paws in a gesture of innocence: "What? No, no it's not like that, I've no part in this at all. This is all her decision. I was going to ask her to work in my pottery, girl's got a gift with Bonewood. Even been considering her a potential for making Splode." Harry retorts with "Damned right she does, but now she's got a a Scrunger name, is part of The Guild and has my blood linking her to the East Avala Company. Scrunger, Guild, and The Company. That's a messy mix, dangerous even. Could expose me. Could expose you." Panel 4: George: "The name is just part of our fallen culture now, it'll be fine." Harry: She still has access to the tunnels. You cut Chai off from those when she cut a deal with The Guild." George: "that was dfferent; Peppermint's not working for her own interests." Harry: "She wouldn't have made it this far by herself. The South African springhare is a large bounding nocturnal rodent that lives in burrows from which it departs with a swift leap to avoid ambushing predators. Its sharp forepaw claws are used to excavate its tunnels and a flap of skin on each ear can be closed to prevent sand from entering.

Panel 1: Day 2: The group walk on. Bohea the grasshopper mouse at front, Peppermint the red squirrel right behind, Rooibos the springhare much futher behind with her luggage... and Darjeeling even futher behind with bags. It looks like Rooibos forced Darjeeling to carry her load! Panel 2: Night two, another campfire, and another rainstorm! While all but Rooibos has a tentspread, Rooibos tries to use her luggage as a small improvised shelter. it doesn't work. Panel 3: Day three! Same as day two... but it looks like Darjeeling has sneakilly dirched Rooibos extra bags~ Panel 4: Another Night, another downpour! As with prior nights, Rooibos is stuck outside, though now she has resigned to using the clothing in the trunks alongside a stick as a makeshift tentspread. It's not very effective, but better then nothing! Panel 5: Oh look, there are eyes watching from the shadows beyoind the camp. oh look, Rooibos sees those eyes and is not exactly thrilled. whatever will happen this night~? Panel 6: As with previous days, a ragged and oddly sore Rooibos is lagging behind with her excessive load. However, this time Bohea has slowed down to her. Bohea: Hey Roo, it'd be easier if we had a-" Rooibos: "Fine! Alright! I accept! You win!" Bohea: "-pet to carry our gear." Panel 7: And this rainy night, both Peppermint and Bohea share a tentspread, and Roibos has surrendered to sense and now shares a tentspread with Darjeeling, all Rooibos extra luggage nowhere to be seen. The fire still blases for now in the rain, and everyone is warm and comfy. As Rooibos drifts off to sleep, she reflects on the day: "Wait, pet?"
