#shitposters
My response to shitposters.

You’re not as funny as you think you are and I don’t have time for your juvenile bullshit.

Sadly we lose the best shitposters in the process

Shitposters here are like civic nuns

They are married to an intangible service and allergic to grass

I guess it might also play a significant role that in this place, people are not that much scared of bots and shitposters algorithmically amplified by design because other platforms basically live of hate as it guarantees engagement. This place does not so much, hence people really dare to speak up

Yup, and 4chan shitposters meme'd trump into the whitehouse thanks to falling for the most obvious bot campaign to ever exist using /pol/ to influence their oxygen starved brains

phil elverum could;ve been one of the greatest shitposters on the internet but he decided to record multiple indie rock masterpieces instead

Same here. I have little patience these days for self-defined edgelords or shitposters. I'm not their audience right now and there's more than enough BS going on in the world without that much negativity.

"unfortunately, we have deiced to move forward with a different candidate. we only hire seasoned shitposters."

I really don’t like this reality where shitposters I knew from years back are being venerated as a modern day Zhukov.

If we’re doing this, I guess that would make you the Enola Gay though.

Hi, tabletop humor expert here. This is not cute! Shitposters will only retreat back into toothless board game jokes as a self-defense mechanism when distressed about current events.

Please keep an eye on this creator and alert caretakers if he begins joking about backing too many Kickstarters.
Seeing a complicated new board game and trying to figure out gameplay just from the components:

Okay so this is going to derail my entire afternoon, stand by for the entire PLP sorted into “sensibles”, “aura farmers” and “shitposters”.

Aura Farmers beat Sensibles. Shitposters beat Aura Farmers. Sensibles beat Shitposters.

Nandy in The Guardian today had strong shitposter energy.

A reply to David Roberts's exasperated sigh of a skeet about how "unreasonable" anti-AI people here are. Sorry not sorry the tone here was set by sex workers, trans folks, furries, and/or shitposters, not smug white techbros and other hucksters

“My dear people!” My dear shitposters and pet photographers! My dear scientists and cultural institutions!
I hope you have a lovely, or at least a more bearable than usual day.

mistakes that made twitter a shithole but without ever bothering to attract enough shitposters that it turned into a *liveable* shithole without needing to exclusively follow dril and like 5 other people. im going insane im going insane im going insane. at least in pre-musk twitter the drama was

UK media is a mess but it's striking to me that it's a top-headlines-push-notification type of story when one of their billionaires says something racist

whereas elon musk tweets stormfront level uber-racism on a daily basis & the only people who pay attention are left wing shitposters

Minister and Burnham escalate row with ‘hypocritical’ Ratcliffe over claim UK colonised by immigrants – politics live
Labour mayor of Greater Manchester joins those criticising Ratcliffe over his comments The GMB union has alos criticised Jim Ratcliffe over his comments about immigration. The union represents workers employed by Ineos, the chemicals company set up and run by Ratcliffe. Andy Prendergast, the GMB’s national secretary, said: Anyone who watches football knows the beautiful game is a shining example multiculturalism; people from across the world playing in harmony. In light of this, Radcliffe’s crass and insensitive comments just underline how out of touch and offensive he truly is. His reign at Man Utd has been marked by mass dismissals of loyal staff and chaos on the pitch. Frankly, his right to comment on UK affairs should have ended the moment he sloped off to Monaco to avoid paying his taxes. These comments go against everything for which Manchester has traditionally stood: a place where people of all races, faiths and none have pulled together over centuries to build our city and our institutions, including Manchester United FC. Calling for curbs on levels of immigration is one thing; portraying those who come here as a hostile invading force is quite another. Continue reading...

Behold the culmination of the conservative legal movement: Pam Bondi, the result of decades of effort not to uncover and enforce the one, true Constitution but to produce an army of dead-eyed shitposters.
Pam Bondi throws a fit:

"You don't tell me anything, you washed up loser lawyer"

What's noteworthy about this is that it pretty much mirrors what we've seen periodically from the mega terminally online wing of the far-right for a while now. At the end of the day, they are shitposters before anything else, and there is no fate worse than turning into cringe normies.

I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail

I cannot be bothered to read or listen to AI slop!

Commenting "ai;dr" means “AI; didn’t read”. It is to inform low-quality shitposters that their lame, low-effort “AI” post will not be read.

“tl;dr" is internet speak for “too long; didn’t read”.

it's a bit disappointing to see things going in a circle though

lots of detailed arguments on the topic have been put forward, and all the posters decided to ignore every single one of them once again, instead going purely on vibes and what seems to be a dissatisfaction with shitposters
