Day 19: Pu'erh
I've only tried one variety of pu'erh, but the one I have smells and tastes so much like sun-warmed hay that every time I drink it I get launched back into being a 12 year old horse-nerd. It's a neat experience.

‘Fire and Ice’. OK this one is a little odd. A pu’erh tea with ginger, peppermint, red peppercorn, and chili. It… it‘s refreshing, I’ll tell you that. I cannot work out if I like it. It might actually be better for some honey. Definite chili tingle AND mint tingle. Hmmm

Bought this Banzhang Shou Pu'erh for a friend of mine and we had it together along with my gf! Smells REALLY funky, tastes like a freshly picked carrot or parsnip - sweetness, dirt, tuber-like. Really special and it was a wonderful experience. Lovely relaxing cha qi as well. Drink good tea 🤎🖤☕️

Finally broke out the little balls of Pu'erh tea that I got from Yunnan in January. Was afraid they'd lost their flavor from sitting around so long, but each one has lasted 10+ steeps. Very tasty uwu 🍵🌿

Nice. I buy Milo's unsweetened when I run out of my own source tea, then refill their gallon jugs with my own. My fav is Pu'erh tea. Not for everyone, kind of earthy, but it translates well as an ice tea and is said to be very high in antioxidants.

what exactly do you mean by this? i personally believe pu'erh is the BEST STUFF EVER. it's the only tea i drink anymore for the most part.

Decided I needed some cozy tea for the evening. So I pulled out my fancy Stagecoach Pu’erh from @white2tea.bsky.social which has EXACTLY the rich organic flavor I was looking for. Reminds me of a New England pond and brings back excellent memories. BIG thanks for the recommendation

The teahouse was on the way home, and I'd been craving the old tree green pu'erh, so here I sit. Delightful notes of brothy umami, with a sweet undertone of nectar from a clover flower. There's a little dark green note like mulberry leaf hiding behind lower temp steeps once things open up, too!
