that's EXACTLY what happened. and all that the extra angst and trauma and ~brooding did was make thranduil find him more dreamy. and decide to have a son with him.

the description of Lothlorien's forces under Amdir in the war of the last alliance more or less makes them seem homogenous with those of Oropher tbf, but their obliteration in the Dead Marches and inflow of Noldorin/Sindarin from Belfalas together with the lord/lady may have triggered a larger shift

i haven't seen him in stranger things! i low key hope he's playing oropher or thranduil tbh. originally i was hoping he was going to be a new orc character, but now that doesn't seem likely.
