Problem is, he isn't surrendering. Ultimately I just grabbed the moonblade from the chest, accosted Xan, and we did the final bit of damage as Mulahey ran around in panic.
So only half XP on him, but hey with all the quests (and a few more) completed; level 5!

For Blade (only one I used), I learned that the life steal, ult, dash, and moonblade cards aren't worth it.
The ankh card, while great for CC, doesn't actually stack as it says it should, so you only need one card of it.
You can spam your ult up until NIV. Once you're there, never use it.

i wasnt even using my carian build but the staff you can get from the village shop with slicer, moonblade, and the many periodic glintblade passive is goated
