#longstrip
I think that Its a Wonderful Life is more honorable than any longstrip comic. Debate me

It's not the scrolling itself that I mind, necessarily, I just like my comics to have fancy things like layout and paneling and flow, things that (most) longstrip artists seemingly find unfathomable

Trying to read a longstrip is the comics equivalent of trying to read an extended passage of prose that has no paragraphs, line-breaks, or indentation. There might be individual passages that are genuinely great, but they become nearly impossible to parse due to the excruciating format.

once again calling for the cancellation of all longstrip-format comics, y'all need to stop doing that shit

Korean longstrip gl cooks so consistently. I love it.

continually reassuring myself that reading 3/10 romance longstrip comics is a healthier way to slack off than getting mad at people online

The other is the truly outstanding Lady of the Shard by GGDG (Cucumber Quest, Soul of Sovereignty, helping out with Deltarune). This one is complete, wonderful, only takes an hour or two to read, best argument for the longstrip format I can think of.

But still, even here, I miss pages a bit

I'm being a little negative, and there *are* longstrip things I like - but it's telling that even in these cases, I almost always feel they'd be better in a more traditional page-based comic format. One is the tragically-not-likely-to-be-completed ADA, by Hushabye.
ADA
The mute alien entity, Ada, forms a peculiar connection with the somewhat eccentric lead scientist, Dr. Simon — challenging the patience, trust and safety of those around her. How will this human-ali...

Expounding on this: my beef here is that pages - although no longer strictly necessary for publication - are a really structurally important component in comics, and most webtoons/longstrip publications that don't use them really really suffer for it
My beef with lots of things written natively in the long-strip format is the comics themselves aren't drawn in pages - which is in theory fine, I could imagine something working that way, but in practice most of them are just a mushy cascade of illustrations that lack structure, layout, or flow

ah longstrip, the least readable comic format

Not at all, BC they removed the English kindle versions of the ebooks several years ago. Not before uploading volume 2 as Volume 3 and never correcting it ofc. (I should know, I bought them)

Like at that point I can say the longstrip websites have been a net negative for the industry when you have

Essa sequência. Na primeira vez, foi um Wow e meio finalmente, na segunda vez, foi de arrepiar.
Tá bem estranho usar o mangadex no longstrip aqui, pois tá sempre resetando pra página 1.

Manhwa is essentially the Korean counterpart to manga.

You might know it instead as webcomics, since most of them are webcomics in the longstrip format.

They are all colored and often adaptations of novels, with some generic overdone genres (lots of isekais and regressors for example)

to this day the longstrip series that left the best impression on me was Revival Hunter, because the MC is actually trying to be a good person and is always seeking for the best ending for everyone. In the endless sea of Hard Man Doing Hard Things that was a breath of fresh air

why are all these apocalypse hoarder longstrip comics always so misogynistic, god lmao.

Maybe it's the purist in me, but I cannot stand longstrip manga/mahnwa. It's just not an enjoyable format for reading imo

While we're moving onto things I have more to talk about, it tracks to keep on with the theme of longstrip webcomics.

Honestly I should have kept up with Mage and Demon Queen when it was originally releasing. It checks almost every single one of my boxes like a perverted grocery list.

I'm not going to include every longstrip I've read because a lot of them have issues, and there are a couple which will be on their own, but I'll add Ring My Bell and Dearest Nemesis here since they were good enough to warrant being on here compared to some other slop.

18. Return of the Blossoming Blade

Um dos que mais me divirto lendo o semanal, adoro o sistema Wuxia e eles trazem muito bem aqui.
Recomendo pra todos que gostam de manhwa e querem histórias longstrip bem feitas.
