I gotta be the only person that can’t stand these “cozy, farming life sim” games. Heartopia is boring as hell. Sorry. So is stardew valley, the Disney game, etc. that’s why these creators only play them if they are sponsored then don’t play again. There’s only so much to do

Stardew's influence on the gaming industry is at least on par with Undertale. It was a massive indie success, and despite it not really being a 'cozy' game it literally inspired a lot of the cozy genre and it's impact can be felt with all farming sim games going forward from 2016

It feels like they tried to do casual farming sim but like, wildly misunderstood what that actually meant. Like the joke of someone who's never seen an animal having it described to them to draw and it just comes out looking wrong, if that makes any sense.

I picked up Wylde Flowers yesterday on PS5.
I have no idea what I'm doing but it's a nice different take on the cozy farming sim type game.

I love both Fantasy Life i and Coral Island so those would be my picks! I’ll say Coral Island is definitely a bit more grind-y since it is a farming sim. Fantasy Life is kind of a mix of ACNH, BOTW, and a life sim - it gives a bit more variety imo. They also just released DLC a couple weeks ago

my first Magfest was amazing! this might become a regular thing esp. if itll be near my bday lol. picture spam incoming. but some highlights were the Rebecca Sugar concert, farming sim photoshoot and the museum. and the people!! everyone I talked to was so nice ;o;
