Earthworms feel like such a rare sight these days, and it might be my recent insomnia but I'm getting all weepy over these two. They didn't deserve this.

earthworms are oomfs to me

And no it's not a reference to like 'secretary' or "would you love me if I were a worm" or anything like that. I just find earthworms really calming and grounding and their smell is enchanting

Earthworms challenge architecture itself. As Teresa Stoppani notes, they lack front or back and navigate by smell and taste: “All of this raises a profound ontological problem — and thus, a threat.”
Formless, Faceless, Directionless: Earthworms Defy Architectural Logic
When a creature has no discernible front or back and is blind to shape, it unsettles our grasp of form and function.

The holes in the bottom are very vital, allowing water out and earthworms in. After about a month my compost was crawling with earthworms.
Neighbors started throwinh their organics in.

It is very telling that the MTN didn't bother to show any interviews with Schumer or Jeffries. 🐷
These two weaklings have less spines than earthworms. 🪱
The opposition they have shown Trump since day one is laughable.
Shame on these genocide loving AIPAC wh*res. 👿

Good in my books! I still remember the strong smell of formaldehyde as we dissected the frogs. I also remember dissecting earthworms in that class. Oh, the memories flooding back… 😂

boy, ain't that the truth!

My reps are all dems, but I still call not only to express my outrage at an illegal war but also TO DEMAND NEW LEADERSHIP because I've seen earthworms with more spine than Schumer and Jeffries.
My attitude on this is that I'm not calling them because I think I can change their minds.

I'm calling them because it is unthinkable to let them do this without hearing how evil and awful they are.

My spite powers me. If I can get just 500 people a day to join me, we could fuck up their day.
I call Tommy Tuberville every fucking week, multiple times a week, because he can be evil but I don't have to let him do it without pushback.

So I don't need to hear excuses. I call the dumbest senator in the country. 😂

CONGRESS, do your fucking jobs! Grow some spines you goddamn earthworms! Stand up to that fucking idiot for once. It’s not about YOU. It’s so much bigger than you minnows.

Haven't written one of those in a while. Some folklore found its way into both descriptive and haiku part.

Most be the approaching full moon or the Raunächte*.

Building a Better World in Your Backyard - Paul Wheaton. Helpful tips from a master gardener on improving soil quality, forestry for small plots, transplantation, husbandry (earthworms like 3’ deep soil for winter hibernation!). Out of his ken: structural engineering, thermal dynamics, human health.

Had such a weird and intense dream that woke me up. It featured Harry Redknapp and lots of earthworms inside my jumper.

Seconding this. Snakes try to get out of your way. But leeches...I do not like it when these jumped-up earthworms latch on and saw their way through your skin.
Everyone freaks out over Australia’s obvious snake hazards, but I think most people are psychologically even less equipped to handle the land leeches.
