In various parts of Dublin cars were abandoned to floodwaters, people rescued by dinghy, schools closed and thousands without power yet there was no rain warning from Met Éireann for the county in advance of Storm Chandra. www.thejournal.ie/rain-warning...
Parts of Dublin are flooded - why wasn't there a rain warning?
Storm Chandra flooded many parts of Dublin, but the rain fell just short of Met Éireann’s warning criteria.

The River Slaney burst its banks in Enniscorthy this afternoon amid heavy downpours during Storm Chandra. Parts of Dublin, Wicklow, Waterford and Carlow also saw flooding and travel disruption, with a warning that a risk of flooding continues into tomorrow.

Most people have lovely photos of their friends, family and loved ones popping up on their phone.

Admitting this pair of extremely ambitious, far right, competitors is going to cause Farage a few sleepless nights. 😂🤣 Couldn’t happen to a more deserving ba*ta*d. Previous rats joining Mr.🐍 oil’s Reform UK dinghy have been either rather unintelligent &/or oleaginous. This pair are pure 🐍 venom. 🤷‍♀️

#UglyDogs we met such a cute boat dog! Sadie spends her days in the dinghy delivering frozen cocktails to people on the boats moored at Bitter End Yacht Club and Saba Rock.

Are we going to put them on a dinghy and anchor them to the middle of the sea where their only interactions with human will be daily food and water drops?

One thing I like about Slow Horses is their dinghy office. Some of the best jobs I’ve had have been in dinghy offices. Strange lad.

Me too! A bunch of clowns. They tied Democrats hands and feet and threw them overboard. Now everybody's overboard and they want Democrats to pull their dinghy to safety with their feet and hands tied.

This is where I woke up this morning: Sunset Cove, Key Largo, FL

Motored over to see if there was enough water to anchor near the venue for the wedding we're going to next week. Not by much, but it'll do. Nearby restaurant with dinghy dock and happy hour. A fine combination.

“Of course there are warning voices: Author Margaret Atwood has brought us The Handmaid’s Tale; and Philip Pullman has much to say about the politico-religious and paramilitary body which he calls the Magisterium, in The Dark Materials and The Book of Dust ...”
