If it's wearing a defibrillator vest, why would the monitor be mounted on its leg (instead of its waist)? I'm more inclined to think that's a urine collector.

Is it possible to wear a monitor like a Holter moniter for a week then review the results ? You may need a pacemaker which is a fairly straightforward procedure or an AICD an internal defibrillator also straightforward but would maybe correct any other episodes - and keep you alive .

If POCUS is not available, at the end of the first round of chest compressions (it usually takes that long to bring the defibrillator in patient’s room, attach the pads & activate the monitor), it may be reasonable to provide one (and just one!) shock...

As a volunteer medic I appreciated the medical advances from NASA. The portable heart monitor and defibrillator are used every day in the field. Before NASA they were big and bulky.

A: Consider pacing at a higher rate that exceeds critical cycle length. I've had to do that a few times waiting around for shit. I recall 2 cases that the torsade just kept coming back with a vengence.

My daughter, 44 has a bad heart. She has had a defibrillator and heart monitor for 5 years. Last week the electrode embedded in her heart broke. The doctor provided her with a vest to monitor and shock her heart until the defibrillator can be replaced. The insurance denied payment for the vest. 😥💔

Tesla’s stock chart looks like a cardiac arrest monitor that just flatlined - 1 moment it’s gasping for life, d next it’s nose-diving like a failed SpaceX test flight. Investors r watching an ER drama, but if Musk keeps pushing his idiocy, no defibrillator will save Tesla from tanking even further..
