The Buffalo soldiers for dead mans hand. Easily my favourite dead mans hand posse I've painted up. I enjoyed every minute painting these guys. They absolutely pop and am so happy with the uniforms. Can't wait to paint up the reinforcement 3. Maybe need to rebook at my 7th cavalry. #deadmanshand

A while back I fancied making some wargames atlantic boxers as Tong for dead mans hand. With a simple paint job and some guns from gunfighters box 1 and 2. I did paint a northstar steampunk Tong Empress miniature to be the leader, but need to take a photo.

I loved putting these guys together as my Cowboys for Dead Man's hand. The great escape games plastic kits are brilliant. Can't wait for them to make a renegade indian or Mexican box set. Lovely figures to paint aswell.

A look up main street, where there seems t'be some sorta commotion goin' on... The buildings in the distance are blurred but the nearest one coming into town this way is (Glynis) Barbers, where they offer a shave (no legs) for 20c, a haircut for 50c and a back crack and sack for $10 Across the road is Mr Wong's Loopy Laundry, so you can git yersel good 'n' clean 'fore you visit the ladies at the saloon. The buildings on one side of the street are Mr Wong's Loopy Laundry, Robert Morton's "Funeral Concepts" (est 1887, ask about our family layway package), the sheriff's office and the old mine. Various cacti, barrels and other bits and pieces are scattered around the place, along with various unsavoury types with their guns drawn. The other side of the street has Glynis Barbers, the Saloon (where they offer Hot/Cold/Used Food/Drink/Wome. A poster by the door proclaims "Lili Von Shtupp, The Teutonic Titwillow" is playing tonight. Next along is Wayland supplies "Building a better west", the Hungry Heifer food shack and the Grand Hotel. The Legally Distinct Seven have just walked into town and a cactaur is making a run for it in the opposite direction. Well look whut the cat dragged in. Mousecow strides down the high street towards the Legally Distinct Seven, towering over the buildings like the fluffiest Kaiju you ever did see. I don't fancy your chances to be right honest with you boys, think it's time to heat up the bricks. #EverybodyLovesMousecow

First Dead Man’s Hand model done(mostly)! Gonna paint the texture white and try and go for a snow theme with my lil western town but I am so happy with him and with Warpaint Fanatic paints! First time using non citadel paints, it was a joy!

Wayland Supplies, a multi-purpose general store store with dark blue accented wood, windows and door, a big yellow W made of rope on their billboard, the name Wayland made of of beams of wood and the motto "Building a better west" Hmmmm, now whoever could they become in the future? Next door in "Mr Wong's Loopy Laundry" and then there's Glynis Barber's, offering shave (no legs), haircuts, and back crack and sack if you really have the money. A view down the table/main street, starting with Glynnis Barbers,bMr Wong's Loopy Laundry, Wayland Supplies, the Grand Hotel, Robert Morton's "Funeral Solutions", the Hungry Heifer, the saloon and the sheriff's office. The sheriff currently looks very shiny, they didn't just give him a tin star they gave him tin *everything* Another view of the town so you can maybe see them a bit better. Sorry if you can't see it, the description would be much the same as the last picture. To make up, here's a joke: Man goes into a chip shop, says Fish and chips twice The man behind the counter says I heard you the first time. Wheee doggy! Looks like we got ourselves some hell trekkers passin' through! Now whut in tarnation kinda ve-hick-uls are they??? *Spit*

Managed to spend a little time in Gladys, trying to relax a bit after having to deal with the GP surgery (and before I have to go back). Woodwork of the last #DeadMansHand building is now done, just working on the sign for it now. For which I want a length of yellow rope in the shape of a big W...
A plastic model of a wild west building, amongst a pile of paints and various other part-time miniatures The building now has its edges, windows, door and beams painted a dark blue-grey (from the John Blanche colour set) and I've mixed some pva glue with yellow and ochre inks in which I've soaked some small lengths of twine, that I've then attempted to shape into W's. It's only at this point that I've realized my idea will look very much like the old Woolworths logo but hey ho, it's meant to be a general store anyway. Happy enough with the W shapes I managed, they're now held down underneath lolly sticks to (hopefully) stop them unraveling, with a few ink bottles on top to weight then down. Hopefully in this heat (currently 31° in Gladys) they'll dry fairly quickly and keep their shape. Fingers crossed at least one of them will turn out okay, anyway.
