Having muddled dates for the creative writing group this afternoon- a week early - I found myself with a chance to catch up on the painting table.
3D prints of 28mm Town Watch figures from thesummoningcircle off eBay & a Krampus figure I’ve had for at last four years part painted. #wargaming #DnD
Calling these done apart from basing. #28mm #adlg Asyrian levy and command stand. Just got to base the whole army now!

Some progress tonight with #28mm Assyrians for #ADLG. Levy and a command stand.
It's back tonight the annual chance to escape the TV and dodge some nonsense with people you've rarely heard of prancing around! Tonight I'm anticipating at least two hours of undisturbed painting. #figurepainting #wargames
I just have to decide how best to paint them up. Nothing too radical as I’m hoping to use them as terrain for Gangs of Rome, Port Royal and scatter pieces in other games.
Outstanding service from Karl at Crooked Dice Game Design Studio when my order for their Dungeon Builder kit arrived very quickly. I saw these at Colours 2025 & forgot to go back to the stand on my final sweep through the show even though it was just what I have been looking for.

I’d go for a mix of wood and some specific colours to match your colour scheme but with different shades of blue or yellow. They look great. Which make are they?
Yes I saw them last weekend at the Colours show in Newbury.
Looking the wrong way 🤣 I’d like to have spent more time at the FIW game but I spent the first two hours just talking to people I’ve not seen in ages!
Just a very few pics from #Colours2025 #wargaming show. I met The Leggetts who were running a massive French Indian Wars game using their Frontiers of Empire rules. Great looking game that plays quickly despite the size. The Midguard game was stupendous too. So many games so few photos taken!
The first of my #28mm Spanish cavalry for Blood & Plunder by #FirelockGames plus some scatter terrain I’m working on for Devizes & District Wargames Group. #wargaming

The last of the #28mm Assyrians finished (until I buy more a week tomorrow at Colours from Newline Design). Lots of basing to do now. #wargaming #Adlg
The end is in sight! F’ing predictive ai correcting nonsense 🤬
More #28mm Assyrians for #ADLG. Figures from Newline Designs. An end to painting Assyrians is in site but a lot of basing to do.
HUMAN ARTISTS OF EARTH! Use only one photograph of tiny painted toy soldiers to convince people to follow you.
I’m quite pleased with the way this chariot has turned out. Basing waiting for the full army to be painted.
Wedding anniversary yesterday so we took a trip down to the south coast to Weymouth and detoured via Poole to come home.
Why Poole? To visit the new #Entoyment store and pick up supplies of paints, figures and rules. #wargaming #BloodandPlunder
Mixed #28mm Assyrian sword and bow stands for #ADLG. I’m starting to dread all the basing I’m going to have to do on this army.
I think their WOTR ranges are amongst the best of their plastics.
Thanks for the explanation.
Interesting as I’ve not seen the Orc’s shields before. Why do they need to be designed so thick on both ranges?
That’s what I was thinking Mark but not all figures seem to be like that. A mistake in production maybe?
