DeHavilland Mosquitos were famously hard to detect having wooden fuselages and wings. However radar during WWII was primitive. Germany was looking for wunderwaffe as the writing was on the wall as early as 1943 when Russia refused to die.

The last CRJ was built in 2020. CSeries production has moved to Alabama. I suppose some folks in Alaska and Kenmore Air in Washington do buy DeHavilland products but I don't think that's what you're referring to.

Did I miss something?

Trump either heard a rumour or got a call from a Gulfstream exec. The question is did he call PM Carney first, or just assume the power to decertify Canadian Bombardier and deHavilland planes??

Oh, so - just by way of an example - the DeHavilland Canada Dash-8?

Just a very quick check online reveals that the US Army has 13, the USAF has 2, and US CUSTOMS AND FUCKING BORDER PROTECTION FOR CHRISTS SAKE operates 7.

He's an imbecile.

My kid works at Dehavilland this shit isn't sitting well with him or his coworkers right now. It's not a laughing matter

Does this include DeHavilland Beavers and Otters and…um…twin otters?

Aren’t Dash-8s too? (Dehavilland)There goes fire season. 🤷‍♀️

DeHavilland can sell worldwide. And they do.

We good, old man.

You're also punishing American firefighters who need the Canadiair 515, so...good job, I guess.

A mi también me gusta este Westland WHIRLWIND llamado a ser el sucesor del DeHavilland Mosquito.

DeHavilland DHC1 Chipmunk, which is kind of the trainer for the T6.

DeHavilland Mosquito, all day - every day

It kinda does have a bit of large format transparency film look to it as well. The largest negatives or slides I ever worked with were 4x5 when I was working at the Canadian Air & Space Museum that was located in Downsview Park at the site of the old WWII DeHavilland aircraft hangars. HUGE place!

Two big "future" Oscar winners out: Olivia DeHavilland for THE HEIRESS (5th Ave) and Broderick Crawford + Mercedes McCambridge for ALL THE KING'S MEN (Liberty), which also garners Best Picture. 3/

This guitar was made from a slab of antique oak and an old RAF packing case from a DeHavilland Dove hydraulic pipe... pickups by Warman.

Chrome plating is used to repair this propeller dome. As part of the propellor pitch actuation system this is a flight critical part - especially in demanding use cases such as aviation fire-fighting. It is installed on the CL-415 Super Scooper used by CalFire and the ATR 72 and DeHavilland Dash 8.

The Vought F4U Corsair will always be my #1 but the DeHavilland Mosquito is a close runner up.
The Brits really know how to make a proper plane.

At the Air and Space Museum's bldg on the Mall in DC in the new WW1 in the Air gallery, we have a very nice DH-4 displayed (see below, pic by me). It's the first one produced by Dayton-Wright. Orv flew in it as a passenger.

Homicide Detective DeHavilland Beans is back in his hometown with a case much more dangerous–and personal–than it seems in TOO DEEP TO CROSS by Kerri Hakoda. Told through multiple points of view, this thrilling sequel spans decades.

Der einzige Flieger, der mich in die Lüfte hob: ein DeHavilland

TIL: DeHavilland Dash 8 aircraft have a much larger range than I thought. Just noticed an Air Canada Jazz flight from Vancouver to Winnipeg (JZA7110). That's about 1900km.

I look because turbo-props like the DH8 (aka Q400) are more fuel efficient and have lower CO2 emissions than jets. They […]

The old "the hero is really the villain" twist is nothing new, not even for Robin Hood, and this might turn out to be a solid flick, but given the current climate, it's a tone-deaf take.

Here, have this instead:
