The Court affirms the importance of States ensuring that their collective actions limit warming to <1.5°C above preindustrial. The work Alliance of Small Island States did over decades was pivotal to having the higher ambition 1.5°C included in treaties & to having it reaffirmed in the #ClimateICJAO
